Example 1: One ₱20 Bet on Each Number

Expected money back equals the chance of winning times the total returned on a win, stake included.

• Segment 1: 0.44 × ₱40 = ₱17.60 back per ₱20, an 88% return and ₱2.40 expected cost.
• Segment 2: 0.28 × ₱60 = ₱16.80 back, an 84% return and ₱3.20 expected cost.
• Segment 5: 0.16 × ₱120 = ₱19.20 back, a 96% return and ₱0.80 expected cost.
• Segment 10: 0.08 × ₱220 = ₱17.60 back, an 88% return and ₱2.40 expected cost.

Four bets on the same wheel, four different prices. That is why real game shows list an RTP for each bet type in their rules instead of a single number.

Example 2: Pricing a Bonus Round

Bonus rounds have their own rules, so their value is harder to see. Suppose, as an assumption, the bonus paid an average of 20 to 1 over time. A ₱20 bet on Bonus would return 0.04 × ₱420 = ₱16.80 on average, an 84% return. An average like this hides the shape: most bonus results fall below it and a rare few land far above. Shows that sprinkle random multipliers across the wheel often fund them through lower base payouts, and the rules panel shows the net effect.

Example 3: Covering Every Space

Spreading ₱20 as ₱4 on each of the five spaces guarantees one hit per spin, which feels safe. The maths says otherwise.

• Expected back per ₱4 on each space: 1 → ₱3.52, 2 → ₱3.36, 5 → ₱3.84, 10 → ₱3.52, Bonus → ₱3.36.
• Total: ₱3.52 + ₱3.36 + ₱3.84 + ₱3.52 + ₱3.36 = ₱17.60.
• Expected cost: ₱20 − ₱17.60 = ₱2.40 per spin, and four of your five bets lose every time.

Covering the wheel simply blends the prices of the individual bets. It swaps the occasional big miss for a steady small loss, at the same long-run cost as the average of those bets.

Example 4: What a 25-Minute Ride Costs

Round length, from betting window to result, varies by show. Assume roughly one round a minute.

These are long-run averages; a single ride can finish well ahead or well behind. On a train, a dropped stream can also mean missed betting windows, and how an interrupted round settles depends on the show's rules.

Habits for Watching on a Phone

• Set a ride budget before the stream loads.
